Why Does Humidity Affect Lash Extension Glue
One of the main ingredient for lash extension glues is cyanoacrylate, which ensures the lash glue dries fast and keeps longer retention up to several weeks.
However, cyanoacrylate only starts to cure when there’s a presence of moisture. In other words, humidity works as an ‘activator’ for the glue’s adhesion.
How To Increase The Room Humidity
The ideal room humidity for lash extension adhesives is 45-60%. You have different ways to increase it.
Use a humidifier: Highly recommended to have it in your lash studio if you live in a dry place. It brings the humidity up quickly by releasing more water vapor to the air.
Use a nano mist sprayer: When the room is too big to get the perfect humidity in a short time, then this sprayer can be helpful. You can put it near to the lash bed, the fine mist will help speed up the glue drying.
Use lash extension primer: The lash primer removes excess oil/makeups from natural lashes to guarantee the perfect bonding. It helps the glue to dry faster with longer retention. It contains Keratin to help keep eyelashes strong and healthy.
